What can I do?

Just about done a euro mount on my 4 pt from last week. I really like how they look and even though it's a lot of work it beats taking it to a taxidermist. Anyway I started looking at some of my older racks. I never really bothered with them other than just cutting the skull plate off and mounting them on a plaque. Is there anything anyone could suggest to euro mount old antlers? Anyone have experience with the fake skulls??

we have 2 fake skulls in the house, this is the only mounts we have. Take the antlers, cut them as low to the skull as you can. They get attached to the fake skull with a screw from the underside, you cannot see it.

Hmm clay..molded dome shaped, covered in leather on a old barn board..

I cut a 12" pine with the bark on, at an angle into 1.5" thick oval slabs. Lacquered the heck out of it with the bark on. Makes a nice back board
