So we're possibly planning a trip in 4-6 & 4-7 but one of my hunting partners has said that near there was hit pretty hard by the fires. He is the one with knowledge of the area.
Could I get some info on how the area East of Creston has been effected?
Thanks you guys

Fires still burning poked around last weekend and wasn't able to access a lot of fsrs yet because of fire closures I'm sure it will change in a few weeks if it starts raining though when were you thinking of going ?

You should be good by then with the rain and cooler temps

There was rain last night and rain forecast for the coming week. I really hope the fire bans are off soon, I have a weekend backpack trip planned for Sept 21-23 and it just wouldn't be the same without a fire to sit around and savour a single malt. Since you're coming later I guess you're after deer rather than elk? One thing to consider if you're planning on heading into the high country in late October is that there may be snow. Chains are a good idea to have in the vehicle, and a game sled for retrieval if you get lucky. The snow if it comes that early won't likely be very deep but it can get really slick up there in a hurry.

All of the active fires and FSR closures or restrictions are on line.
