moose draw 5-01

I was able to get a draw this year for 5-01 and was wondering if you all had any info on the area or past experience. It is my first moose draw and I am trying to get as much info, not only about the area but as well as general moose hunting tips.

Congratulations on the draw and welcome to the site. Here is the link where most people posted asking for information on their LEH area.

Try the FSR roads in the area. Be out really early in the morning, lots of road hunters in the area. Know what time is sun rise and sun set. Try calling at first light or late in the day at the edge of logged areas and near swamps. New access roads and clear cuts in the area in recent years. If it is warm try higher elevations. To learn to call get a DVD or video on calling. Better yet have some one show you and practice, practice, practice.
