Hi everybody, I just got back from guiding stone sheep and I thought I would share some pictures and stories. in the 25 days that we hunted we saw 12 sheep in total and only one legal ram. We managed to take a beautiful 11 year old billy but unfortunately my hunter was physically unable to make it to the sheep. It rained pretty much every day that I was there. The country was pretty rugged. I found alot of sheep sign from the year before but it didn't seem like most of the sheep made it into the furthest corners of their summer range, possibly due to the amount of snow and the slow melt we had this year. Did anyone find the same in their area??
I don't see alot of other sheep stories on here, or did I just miss them all. Hopefully everyones sheep season has gone well.

I've talked to a few guides and Outfitters, and all have had a pretty rough go of sheep hunting this year. Some seem to think maybe they never travelled out of the winter range as you state, but most seem to have found plenty of young rams and very few 8+, which to me would indicate winter die off of the matures was high. What was the lamb count like in the ewe and lamb groups? The Yukon and the most northern BC outfits seem to have been more successful this year. The winter was a little better way up north as well.

I have to say that is one of the most tasteful trophy photos that i have seen. Well done, photos like that make non hunters understand what we love about hunting.
