I have had a couple of recent private e-mails regarding back woods first aid, new equipment on the market and general medical treatment in the woods while hunting....sort of 'do's and donts "

I am more than pleased to make suggestions or answer these type of questions via PM ..

I have over 30 years as a Paramedic "trauma specialist "

And as a 'starter" YES I highly recomend the NEW clot forming powder now for sale through Cabelas etc..reversable..washed away..can be used by those on blood thinners(Coumadin warfarin etc..)and in extreme cold weather..and on ARTERIAL bleeds..

Modern technology is AMAZING...

i think its plantain and yarrow that can be used to clot wounds in the bush too :)
