After setting up a mountain cam in 2016/17 ( http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/showthread.php?138735-Mountain-cam-pics ) I kinda got addicted. Finally made it out and set up a new cam in a different area, no sheep in this area tho, just goats. Lookin forward to picking it up this fall, it has a pretty cool backdrop, should make for some good photos. A few photos from along the way.

Yup you bet TJ, he looked to have just turned 4 years old.

I should add, there is no goat season in this area, all just for fun.

This is in region 6. I never got to close to the nanny’s and kids, the closest we (myself and my dog, was a good training session as well) got was about 250’ish yards, we could have got closer forsure, but wouldn’t be a good idea this early in the kids game. I was actually set to go up last week, but noticed from afar that there were a couple new sets of twins that had just arrived, so I postponed until this week so I wouldn’t pressure them to much.
The billy in the pics, we got to about 100 yards, but couldn’t get a good photo, so we went uphill a bit and managed to get a clear view, about 150 yards away.

Was a nice day yesterday, decided to hike a bag of salt and another cam up to goat country. Pulled the SD from my first cam, had a few good videos on it, all nanny’s and new kids. Seems like a pretty healthy heard.

You bet Jam, once a person can see a bunch, it makes it easier to tell for sure. The thread I attached to my first post has some good ones for identifying.

Not real impresed with the video quality of this cam, but here’s another.

No play on the second vid? The second one is my first billy on cam, Iv seen them while hiking in, I’m hoping I’ll get more as the rut comes.
The area burnt a few years back, Iv seen these goats out 1/4 km in the burn, way off from any cliff. Also, Iv yet to see a single wolf or bear track around there, pretty relaxed goats. One video from earlier this summer, I had 16 nanny’s kids and 2 year old Billy’s all in one frame. Healthy herd!!
