Failing to get a draw for the PG area,I'm faced with either having a good hunt looking for the elusive immature,or heading way north to an ''any bull'' area.Last time I went way up to 6-25-beautiful country,but too far north for deer[we saw lots on the way]
I'd like to locate a spot where we could still shoot ''any bull''but failing that, also take a deer if we could,and of course an area where we could pot a few grouse during mid day is a bonus.We don;t have a 4 wd, or a quad, but do have a nice 19' freighter canoe if needed.We're not into trophy bulls- a nice 3 year old would be fine.I like hunting the rut-our trip is planned for the last week of september-first week of October
I note from the regs that the area including and north from 6-17 and 6-18 is open ,but not knowing the area,its tough to pick a spot when driving from the island
