I see they have listed that a non resident is required to have hunter education training I’m wondering does my Alberta hunter education cover this or will I be required to take a B.C. hunter ed course.

My Ontario Hunter ed counted but I'm a resident now. I just got to skip the CORE course when I bought my first BC resident hunting license last year.

I heard the main change in the provincial regs was that if game is within 100 yards you must fire a warning shot first.......

I've known this to happen quite a bit already.

I heard you have to fire a warning shot at first light prior to the hunt and then again after you spot a animal with on a 1/4 mile. Anything beyond that is fare game

LOL It’s great to see, despite all our current challenges with sustainable and restorative wildlife management practices in B.C., that we can still keep a sense of humour through it all. Meanwhile our friends to the south continue to work together at all levels to get it right. https://www.fishwildlife.org/landing/blog/statement-passage-modernizing-pittman-robertson-fund-tomorrows-needs-act-2018-house-committee-natural-resources

When will we wake up and realize we need to do something similar - or soon we won’t have any wildlife left??

BC is extremely divided on everything not just hunting for this reason things are likely going to be a mess for years to come

New regulations for 2018 -- all road hunters will need to combine each others road trips to save on fuel consumption.
A. Must have at least two hunters per vehicle if only one truck used
B. If more than one vehicle is used both vehicles combine to one vehicle
C. All vehicles must use cheapest fuel possible

Did read a question amongst all the latest ‘new’ regs. When are they coming out? I sent an ask through front counter BC and received reply today. Was hoping they might come out before May 25th LEH deadline. No such luck, I was told regs will be out mid June.

New Hunting Regulations for 2018, state, Online observation or the original paper Hunting Regulations you will need to proceed. Some rules of respect for your regs.
1. Do not use paper regs to start campfires
2. Do not use paper regs to swat bugs

According to the internet it's physically impossible to take down an animal with anything less than those so it makes complete sense.

2018 New Regulations will show an increase in deer signs along highways and roads in B.C.
Deer signs will be doubled along heavy crossings by deer along the roads we drive
Remember where you see deer signs, slow down, this is where the deer are, doofis.

Why don't they just put the signs where there is less traffic so that the deer aren't crossing the busy roads?

From August 1st 2018 on, when hunters take " Back Up Shots " at a black bear in B.C. all shooters must have valid tags for the bear shot at.
a. if three shooters shoot at the same time and the bear's life expires, all will cancel tags they have.
