Seen that one before, pretty funny stuff, it still brings me to chuckle when a long ago hunting buddy would be puking while dressing a deer, with me laughing out of control.

got to love the "gag reflex" on this one!
Same...buddy couldn't find his deer til the next morning....he couldn't stop gagging either.
Since his full grown son was there to help, I decided my time was better spent looking for a buck!:-P

Guess that thing was rotting for a few days (maybe a week?) before hand.

Normally cutting the stomach will just smell and leak stuff you don't want to get on the meat. I've nicked a stomach before (which in theory would leak with more pressure than a big cut) but it was no big deal... could smell it a bit and just made sure it didn't get on the meat and made sure the knife was cleaned... a little bit of ooze which I had to be mindful of as I pulled out the gutpile.
