black water is towards prince george, it travels from the east side of quinel to prince george, if you have a map of pg look on the 16 west side of pg heading towards vanderhoof maybe 3 miles out of town is were it starts and loops all the way back to quinell, theres the nasko that hooks up to it to.

Does that mean you'll have to break down and buy the Backroads map?

Well you got the back end of the MU out by batanuni lake. the north bnry of 5-13C follows the south bndry of 7-11. It is a height of land just north of the Euchiniko river, and the south bndry is a height of land just north of the Clisbako river, which looks like it flows into the Nasko river north. Then it follows the nasko river to the Blackwater river, thus creating the east bndry. The west bndry of 5-13 C is the bndry of 5-13 and 5-12 and 6-1, which appears to be a height of land, to the south with 5-12, and the Kluskus FSR to the north in 6-1. I would get some better maps than the LEH synopsis. It gives you a good rough idea, but it is better to be safe than sorry. It is roughly 80-100 kms from Quesnel to this area via the Blackwater road, which takes off from the west side of Quesnel through 8 kms to Bouchie Lake. From there you will head northish on the Blackwater rd. In the 50's km you will see a three way junction which if youhead N. you will go to Prince George, and if you head west you will driving through 5-13B, and towards 5-13 C. Feww!!!! Get some good maps, see if you can get some resource user maps from Canfor, or West Fraser in Quesnel. If you contact their woodland offices they could possibly ship the maps to you or courier them. There is always the Forest service rec maps, I'm, not sure if they are updating them anymore but it would be worth the phone call to either pg, or Quesnel offices. You could also go and see a mapping company on the Island and see if they could get you some topographics, they could also have suggestions. There is also Google, it shows road systems, not that good of resolution on the freebie stuff but you could follow along with some of the other maps you may be able to snatch along the way. Where there are critters to be hunted there are ways. Good luck Moosin. PM me if you would like further info.

Would it be beter to stay in Quensel or at the lodge at Finger Lake. We have to lodge/motel it because of my uncle (dont think he would enjoy camping in the bush too much, hes not that kinda person).

The roads are pretty good all through there....near the mth end tho you would likely appreciate studded tires and/or have chains along if you don't have a 4x4.

If it's the same Finger Lake that I'm thinking of, you're in 7-11. I would recommend staying at Fish Pot lake. It's in your zone 5-13c. You'll have to contact them to see if they have room. Make sure to take a mule deer tag, lots of them are out that time of year. The moose will be there.

Try to get one of the cabins at Nazko....probably hard to find a place to stay, leaving it a tad too late!!
