How do you like to hunt whitetails? What your favourite or most productive way to fill your freezer? Also include time season, September? October? November? December?
Day hikes?
Spot and stalk?
Tree stand?
Overnight hike in trips?
Glassing large areas?
truck hunting?
ground blinds beside small clearings?
ground blinds beside game trails?
Hunting heavy timber areas?
hunting valley floors?

I have usually stuck to just hunting mule deer and black bears but I want to spice up this next season and try something new.
Any and all advice, story’s or experiences are appreciated!!

miles and miles on the boots, sitting all day in the cold, rattling, all of these tactics for 5 days straight freezing your nuts off...giving up early on the last day because you aint seen shit...then falling asleep in the passenger seat on the truck ride back to camp to pack up your shit because you feel defeated, while your buddy is driving and him waking you up to shoot that buck standing broadside at 100 yards...thats my most recent/favourite whitetail experience

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, compares to the experience of a bull elk screaming at me from close range, and crashing through the bush towards me as I keep him on a string with my own bugling. To me, that's my favorite hunt, favorite meat, and favorite way to fill the freezer.

Nothing like hunting whitetails with hounds, did so every year for the last 40 and now it has been banned(Ontario) Still will go but the thrill of a buck flying thru the bush is gone. Just doesn't seem right to shoot one standing still

Boots to the ground and stalking is the most exciting way for me! There are so many factors to consider: sun, wind, other animals, when to move/not. Getting close to an animal without them knowing is best rush...

Nothing beats nov.10 and later following tracks in the snow. Second choice sitting on does during the same time, preferably far enough away that I can glass and size up the boys and top up my coffee regularly. Third choice still hunting in the rain same time. Yet to get a mature buck prior to nov so I leave em alone and chase mulies till then...

I find clearings with fresh sign, or trails with fresh sign, and sit sit, sit, but still hunting is fun too...I kill em from sept til November, have yet to get one in December with bow but that time will come..

Dogs eh?! That would be good too.

Can't beat when the blow up on you in the bush, or when they come out across the field in 3rd gear.....

I have walls full of whitetail racks, and looking back at them, they were all on the run. I don't think I could shoot one standing still either
