I checked my T-cam today and I had more pics of bucks than does! Mostly lil guys, but about 40 or more pics of this guy! (not camera shy) Check out the bases on him, as well a good chunk missing from his right ear. I went through every t-cam pic of every muly from last year and none had a missing hunk of ear, so a new buck to the area I figure!

Should be an easy buck to identify if someone bags him, but im kinda looking forward to finding his sheds!

He dont have me to worry about, but my girlfriend has already got it out for him! (OK well maybe on the last day of bow season ;))

BTW, has anyone ever seen this kind of antler growth, or know what causes it???

They're probably an equivalent of having a cyst or something like that.

Mark,
That is a great looking buck with a CRAPLOAD of POTENTIAL!!! It is my experience that bucks like that will grow into absolute TOADS! Personally, I'd try to let him grow and see what he looks like next year. Knarly bases is just a nontypical genetic. No different than split eyeguards, drop tines, cheaters ect.... They are cool looking and add a ton of character. I was able to find 3 years of sheds off a buck I called Knarly Dude that had bases like that.

I also found a 13x12 225 class cougar kill that has funky bases like that.

I shot this 27 1/2" wide odd-ball back in the mid-80s, not too far from Mark's trail cam ;-) location. He's got lotsa lumps!

You no doubt read about the WT doe I saw a few years back that had one normal eye and the other at the centre of its forehead? I saw this doe in 4-9 and very near Nancy Greene Lake on Hwy 3. Someone with the tag might get lucky if she's still there abouts. Would make an awesome and wierd mount, since does are seldom done so.
