This is another Jasper bull that spent most of his days beside Talbot Lake and a busy highway. There is a beautiful prescribed burn on the opposite side of the lake. A guy could spend hours glassing looking for elk and never see one. Why? Too dangerous away from the highway. A pack of wolves patrolled this piece of the Park often. This bull, and his buddies, found it safer to deal with constant traffic jams and selfie takers than to enter far into that burn on the other side of the lake. When he wanted peace and quiet, he would move into a little patch of timber about 100-200 metres wide between the Talbot lake and Jasper Lake. If he really wanted more quiet he would swim Talbot and bed close to the lake so if he saw a predator, into the lake he'd go and swim back to the safety of the tourists on the highway. Was always fun seeing him regardless of the hoards of tourists taking photos.
