Government’s recent decisions on fish and wildlife management issues are of great concern to the BC Wildlife Federation. President Harvey Andrusak has written to the Premier, asking, "Does government intend to continue to make decisions on wildlife management based on populism rather than on science?"Continued decision making based on populism is inherently dangerous, ill-advised and has already had a demoralizing impact on government biologists who believed that science was the underlying premise of fish and wildlife management in British Columbia.

Can I CC this letter to my MLA here in North Delta? Our MLA is NDP/Green. I'm honestly so disheartened after the Grizzly Hunt was banned. Making a decision that isn't based on science and only to include 1/3rd of the B.C. population on the so called poll is disgusting. I feel absolutely betrayed. Since when does social media dictate the decision making of our most precious resources?
