Duck call recommendation?

Starting to get into waterfowl hunting and looking for a recommendation on what duck call to purchase?

I really like my echo timber call. Its a double reed and easy to learn on.

it all depends what you want out of the call. I build my own calls and when I started, I used the echo timber call double reed. They are cheap and sound ok. It all depends on how much you want to spend. You will pay for the name. The problem with duck calls is you can't try them before you buy them. I found one of the best sounding calls was a $35 Duck Commander call. I prefer wood over plastic. It sounds way more natural. Duck calls are also kind of a bling bling accessory for some duck hunters. Don't pay more than a $100 for a call. At that point you are paying for the name.
