Sorry mods if this in in the wrong spot, just figured it would get the most views here.
There are so many posts on here from guys/gals claiming they have a story to share, but can't or won't due to an inability to share pictures. That's not good enough for me since that is what this site is about. I was in the same boat after photobucket collapsed, and while not super computer savvy I figured it out with Imgur and want to pass that information along to you. Hopefully I can present it in a way that works for you, but if you have any issues, pm me and we will get it going for you somehow.
This guide is for use on PC, but I will figure it out on my phone as well and add on later.
To start with, go here: https://imgur.com/ and create an account, if I have to walk you through this step you're hooped.
There is a green Add Images button on the top right side, click it to get the following image and simply drag your desired photo(s) to the giraffe dude.

That part was easy, but next up is where I had issues; this is what I did to get things working:
Click on the photo you have just uploaded and in the bottom right corner there is an "edit image" option, click it and you will get to the following:

What you want to focus on in the above image is the sizing option at the top right corner. This is where you can change the size of your photo. I always go with 1000 on whatever is the larger number and keep the 'lock proportions' ticked. It will, surprise surprise, keep the proportions of the photo for you.
Once you have changed your numbers(I don't suggest going larger than 1000ish for forum purposes) simply click the 'Apply' button on the top left and then click 'Save'.
You are now presented with the following screen:

Move your mouse over your user name at the top right to get back to your images and then click on your desired image and you will get this screen:

All you have to do now is copy and paste the 'BBCode' link(second from the bottom) to your post and you are done. The first couple of tries might leave you scratching your head a bit, but you'll get the hang of it.
