People get upset about everything now. It was the beavers that blocked the bypass.

According to the city, staff had been working to remove the beavers from a storm-sewer pipe for more than two weeks using several methods, “including a temporary wire mesh screen with a one-way door, using beaver scent as an attractant and breaching the beavers’ dam.”

I guess they never tried a 22

I wonder if the surviving members of the beaver colony will be facing a manslaughter charge?

The beaver population in region 2 is beyond what the habit can carry. They are territorial and in region 2 it’s to the point some are being pushed out into saltwater trying to establish their own territory. They end up dead because they are not suited to live in saltwater

There is also a huge number of beaver killed by municipalities just to prevent flood damage to roads ext

But the clueless are complaining about this one beaver lol

In an attempt to save the province billions...I'm surprised the NDP didn't re-locate this beaver and others to complete the site C project.

And we wonder why hunting is under attack? People have lost their minds.

People have lost their minds.

Not sure they ever had one.

Don't you know...it's the 'in thing', allowing emotions to dictate rather then use common sense.
Most of our society lives in cities and are so disconnected with nature that they believe all the
hype and Disney World fantasies are real. Many would love to hug and cuddle all the cute wild
animals as if they were their kitten or puppy. They have no concept of how dangerous, cruel,
or vicious most animals can be...or the harm humans can do by interfering with real wild animal
young. Many don't even know how or what it takes to get their favourite meats all neatly packaged
onto the store shelves.

One sided voice to the public is why

easy to win people over when there is a weak opposition

majority dont dig for facts instead follow the opinion that is voiced the loudest. This is why hunters are under attack we rely on facts protecting us and stay silent

Wonder how the young beaver was disposed of or was it properly utilized by a trapper. We should protest the waste of a good pelt.

Be coming up with a name for it next. Guess Trudeau can issue an apology to all beavers on our behalf.
