That's what needs to take place folks !
Invite the media and give the public free grizzly sausage for the tasting , talk about public relations
and media coverage.

They say people don't eat grizzly and this would show the public, that people do eat grizzly and put grizzly hunters in a good spot light .

If you possess gbear meat you are now in possession of a prohibited meat, you must turn all said meat over to the ReeMP yesterday, or you will be prostituted!

Could be a good idea if well organized?

Include all types of game meat, well presented, with a well rehearsed message, take away info on hunting etc...

Bad idea JMO but, maybe I'm wrong, with all the media attention given to hunters lately have you seen them portrayed in a good light?

I don't think it's a good idea at all.

Much more to be gained by having several user groups who care about wildlife show up and demand that wildlife management and conservation start receiving the funding and the support that residents of the province demand.

We as hunters need to step up as a group, guides and residents together. BCWF, Fish and game clubs, and the GOABC need to do everything in their power to stop this closure from happening.
It is not about whether we eat the bears or not, it is about taking away something that is near and dear to us hunters. there is a Hunting and Fishing Heritage Act that gives us the right to do just that. This proposed regulation change is just the start of the politicians chipping away at our rights.

There is already talk of lobbying the government to close coastal black bear hunting, if that happens what is next cougar, wolves, bobcat, lynx? there is even a suggestion floating around that sheep are now on the anti hunting radar.

'Hey, who's that looking out that window up there? Maybe it's Christy? Must be! I bet she is shaking in her shoes right now'
Yup, an actual comment from the last rally down there. This time you can replace the name Christy with John? Seriously, people need to realize that there is no amount of protesting, email writing, texting, polls and so on that is going to fix this mess. Horgan and Weaver are going to appease their base. And I know hunters are not near as dilangent at the whole computer thing as the whacko antis. Geeze, just this morning alone I deleted about 15 death threats I received from those facist freaks. Hunters are no match when it comes to those crazies. Why? Because we actually have manners and care about people.

I totally agree.
A grizzly barbecue might as well be one of dinosaur meat for all that the politicians care.

Little too late grizz hunt is lost under this govt

They tested the waters by proposing meat only regs. Once they seen little to no backlash from stepping on hunters they said meh let’s just shut the hunt down.

Govt does not fear or respect hunters clear as day look at how they listen over the years lol

Organization that speak for hunters in BC have no bite and lack strategy

If all the hunters on social media called the police for every death threat they got everyday, the police would be so swamped, they would not be able to be out there catching real bad guys. They would just be dealing with single moms with no jobs who have 5 kids from 5 different men or they would be finding 40 year old virgans sitting in their mother's basement whacking off to the latest porn video.

If you report it to the social media site, your account will be banned because hunting pictures are offensive.

Welcome to the New World Order that so many on this site embraced when they decided to pit hunter against hunter.

Sad state of affairs were in for sure.
Not sure what a person could do in my little one horse town.
But I could help with a little bit of money, if needed.
I already am with BCWF.
Anybody know what is on the horizon for fighting this bullshit.
We all know now that the Greenpee's are out to destroy hunting as we know it.

Wondering

My advice to you is to stop giving any money to the BCWF. They have squandered our heritage and it is time they fade, especially knowing you pay a guy over 100 grand a year to retweet David Suzuki's and the Raincoast society's eco science garbage.

You are far better taking your money and getting signed up as a card carrying BC Liberal. This battle can only be fought if hunters unify their vote and vote in Blocks. Look at the election results. A bunch of seats were won and lost on a mere 10's of votes. The sad thing is, hunters were those 10's of votes and that is what got us to where we are today, a government that didn't win, dictating their facist beliefs.

You forgot to mention one of the Fed “gurus” wrote Weavers bill on wildlife.

Already am a card carrying BC Liberal, our area voted Liberal.
Not sure how we could get these Dipper/Greens to call another election.

First we need to elect a new Leader, and a good one

I wouldn't say it is if it was taken in a previous hunting season with a legal tag, or if First Nations hunters were to take it...

I wonder if Steve Thompson could be that leader? He understands hunters and the importance of hunters and habitat conservation....he came to the BCWF meeting in April and took lots of time to talk to hunters including myself, he seemed committed to the plan of all hunting $$$ going back into wildlife and habitat..

Remember Harry....he sold you out on allocation.
One of the Fed superstars could probably give you more insight than me as to if Steve would make a good leader or not.
Seeing as they’re good family friends he should know.
Wildlife politics in this province stink.

Dont pay attention to the BCWF but totally agree about the liberals..any hunter that voted NDP or Green was fooling themselves that they were not voting against hunting..

I think a Tar and Feather gathering would be much more effective.
