Don't have the time to post spring hunting pics, but I always enjoy hunting black bears, though this season I didn't harvest one..

Great start to the fall focusing primarily on hunting elk, didn't get one, but had some good experiences and encounters along the way..

When I started to put more effort into deer, I harvested in one of my tried and true spots, my biggest buck..

Then yesterday I harvested this WT buck....story behind it is: it's an area I know well, I only had mid day until last light to hunt, I found lots of fresh rubs and had a good idea of the deer's travel routes..so I sit for the last hour of light, and sure enough, through the trees I see a whitetail doe clipping at a good speed..I think to myself, this should be good, sure enough, he's in hot pursuit, I confirm that he's a WT and a buck, he's moving around quite a bit and it's hard to get a bead on him..he stops behind a big tree, with his head sticking out, I reconfirm it's legal to harvest him, I let him step out and one shot of the .30-06 and he's down, frontal shot 150 yards sitting shot...solo buck, first time doing the gutless method, and I love it..

Great job! I'm not sure if this year was my best of last year but things seem to be coming together for me too.

Nice! Very happy for those that are putting critters in the dirt this year, especially with a side of story and photos.

Great pics.
Gutless method just gets easier and easier the more times you use it. Unless I can drive a truck right to the animal and load it whole I can't think of a single reason to not go gutless.

Great...I was glad to learn the gutless method earlier this month with my partner on the muley buck, so I was confident in handling it solo...made the pack out a lot more bearable..

Congrats on the whities. People seem to be struggling with them this year. With your images, if you look at the bottom right of imgur, it will ask you what size you want to post. I found large thumbnail works for what I like, that way the picture fits all onto one screen without having to scroll. Great pics regardless.

That's a great season, Josh!

Its been fun watching you evolve as a hunter (and conservationist) oven the years and it's all due to boots on the ground and nose in the books.
It's great to see what a positive attitude can produce.

Well done!
