It's been a difficult hunting year, we are not seeing the does we are accustomed to.
Today was spent hiking and as luck would have it, spooked this fella from his bed. Friends son, was quick and poked him sneaking away.
1 shot kill
Not a Cranker, but always just as good when a young New hunter gets to pull the trigger.
Nice 3 point, but more so, a Special hunt and first time his girlfriend joined
3 massive smiles, best pal, son, girlfriend.
Thats what it's all about
and the steaks are good

Nice work! I havent noticed the lack of does but not seeing the same bucks....i took 2 buddies out in bow season and they each arrowed a buck but other than a dozen or so small bucks its been nothing. Did tell another member where i would be going if i didnt have to work and his 10 year old connected with a 4x4. Only 4 point ive heard of getting shot within an hour of kelowna.

Doesn't need to be a cranker.....
As long as you enjoyed the day, and it all gets eaten...then it's a true success.....congrats!

This is a tough one is it dad that has the proudest smile about his son getting a beauty buck, or the gal the most proud of her man, or dude the most proud of his pretty girlfriend, buck or both! LOL Its all good 8)
