Hello collective,

Know it will vary by region . . . but not sure by how much. Focused on Region 3 for my inquiry, but other might be interested in other Regions.

Moose: Any word on how the rut is going? Is it pretty much finished up?

Deer: Sounds like the bucks are in chase mode, with Nov 4th expected to be maybe the peak rut?

Cheers, VFX

Wouldn't Nov 4 be really early?

I hunt 3-4 days a week, I have bagged both a WT and MD buck already, and I hunt zone 3 in its entirety from kamloops south, and I personally have not seen any signs of rutt yet, I fact I took two friends out last weekend and each bagged their own buck and they were in groups still, the white tail shot was 1 of 3 bucks and the mule deer were in a group of 2.

Take it for what it's worth though as I'm new to BC.. *shrug*

Moose done. Deer starting. Not uncommon to see bucks moving end of October.

This is a great thread. Heading to 3-30 and then 7-8 mid November. This post makes me feel better about our late trip....

Region 8 area they are starting shot a buck a few days ago he was starting to get necked out and his glands were wide open, few days later I saw a 3 point mulie with his nose shoved up a does ass pushing her around a cut block with a spike following the action trying to get in their, definatly not full rut but it's starting, just need a hot doe to walk through to start the action in your areas, beginning to mid November will still be prime rut in my opinion though

been out every couple days. today finally saw some fresh rubs but seems like a slow start in region 4. Got knee deep snow over last couple days. is that going to push action to valley bottoms. or will does stay in there zones?
