Hello all, I just started hunting waterfowl after a 40 year break, lol. The last 10 days saw me go out twice, fist day I shot a teal that made the mistake of flying close to me, it splashed in the pond and I was about to get my waders on when I looked at my dog and said "get" and he did.
Then a week later we are out and I managed 5 mallards in 3 shells. Waders on this time so I started towards the downed ducks and my dog once again went and got them for me!
I was pretty pleased, you see Oreo is a blue healer/Autralian shepherd cross. The only retrieving training he's had in the past was for a tennis ball... Good boy :)
