Chris shot a Bibbed mallard which I believe is either a cross domestic or a throwback of cross breeding somewhere in the ducks breeding. Knew it was a mallard cross coming in and it quacked like a mallard as it circled.

Excellent early season shoot for us!

Damn that looks fun and tasty, congrats on a great haul....never duck hunted, do you pluck em first, then gut em??? Cook em whole skin on and bast them in their own oils??

Great pics, nice to see some action in the waterfowl pages. Dogs look happy to be doing what they do best.

The breasts are collected until there’s enough to make duck pepperoni and maple goose sausage.
My buddy gets it done and I’ve only had the pepperoni and it’s delicious! Everyone I know who’s tried the sausage love it!

Manny does awesome duckeroni and maple goose breakfast sausages. Kids ask for them every night....You need a 20lb minimum to get some done. Freeze it in vacuum sealed bags and call to schedule a drop off time. Sausages are quick turn around. Pepperoni takes a bit more time. DO NOT share w friends!!! (They just keep asking for more every time you go somewhere!
