Nelson/Castlegar shooting spots

I'm new to the Nelson/Castlegar area. Is there a well known shooting spot around here or is the Rod & Gun Club the best bet? I normally like to stick to the bush to avoid the crowds, and wouldnt mind finding something a bit closer than the official range. Ive done a couple drives and have found a lot of private locked gates restricting access to crown. I'm not a yahoo, I'm safe and I clean up after myself.

You could drive 1km past the range and contribute to that godawful mess but since it sounds like you are tidier than that crowd just pick a spot anywhere.

How far do you want to test?
What Clint mentioned is only upto 100 yards area...

Eventually I'd like to find a spot to shoot further than 100, but I can make 100 work until I find a better spot. I like sighting in at 200 but a couple inches high at 100 will do the trick. :)

A range would be best for you

Trail range is in METERS: 100, 200, 300.

So you can actually see what the rifle does upto 330 yards.
