Hey so I have a LEH goat hunt in the EK and I don't see anywhere on my LEH that states a inspection is required is that correct? Don't want to make a stupid mistake

I believe that you also need proof sex for your goat now too if I am not mistaken.

I had specific instructions on mine for inspection. Just horns though. Just asked me if it was a billy, it was

Read the regulations. You need evidence of sex and a 12 inch patch of fur attached to the meat. Leave it on all your animals. Otherwise you will lose them

The regulations are usually pretty clear on these matters.

Apparently, new compulsory inspection details. And yes, all goats need to be inspected. I suggest calling the inspector in your region up front and ask him what he needs. That way you are in full compliance. They will need the horns, an incisor and a hair sample (for DNA testing) as well as proof of sex. Junk for billies or teats for nannies attached to hide.

Make sure you bring the parts that they want for inspection in the state that they want them! I heard someone got busted for not bringing the entire skull of the sheep in for inspection. Lost the head over it.

Yep, more than a little bit difficult to determine full curl or mature status without all the reference points on the skull properly connected in one piece. Just follow the synopsis and you are okay.
