Not my spot specifically, but have seen things change and usually with better resolution. The Peace region took a big improvement in pics a few years ago, no doubt due to oil and gas development and changes in demand? wag

The picture date on one of my old haunts jumped forward about 7 years with an update, but still had clouds covering features. Damned G/O conspiracy no doubt

If running google pro just click on the date down in lower left and it will open up a date bar in upper left of screen. Can drag button left/right to show historical images. Sometimes helpful if most recent images have clouds or are not as clear.

Google and bing earth are often different.
For phone or tablet use this works best for all clear cuts and roads in BC. It's government so slow. Find your spot take a screenshot. Would be nice if it was a app and could store it in a cash like hunt buddy.

Google earth/maps and Bing both update datat sets as they get them. You'll even find different zoom levels will be updated differently. More broad overview images are often more recent than fine level close in detail.

There is an app, call GPS Kit HD, cache your google earth imagery and when you leave cell coverage it is like being on your desktop Google Earth. Or you can cache Bing Maps as well if they imagery happens to be better.

there is...

- OSMAND - for Android only...

bit of a trick to download maps, butonce you figure it out it works like a dream.
I have high rez tiles stored right on my tablet and the app does not require a data connection - completely offline (do need gps enabled to catch the satelite signals for your position on the map)

for those cut block polygons, it would be sweet to filter that to say 2 - 4 year old cuts...
