I am looking at going to a private property in 5-3 in a few weeks but am unclear on access due to the wildfire [ the Hanceville one ]. I have looked up the latest fire perimeter on the BC wildfire site and the area we intend to get to is far from it. But it looks like we would have to travel on a FSR that goes through an affected area. As a resident you can travel on such a road but what if you are a tourist or a seasonal resident? Somewhere I read that you have to stay 10 km from the burn boundary which would not be any issue either. Does anyone have any insight or knowledge on a situation similar? thanks in advance.

I talked to someone in this office today. He told me the road that I want to travel on is open and that he expects the campfire / atv ban should be removed in about a week [ pending the weather obviously ]

I will be one happy dude if this is in fact true. I would love to be able to take my wife on her moose draw in 5-02 with the side by side. I am hoping against hope on this one. Come on rain!

The temp has dropped noticeably, we have had a weeeee" bit of rain a couple times, the air is crisp, no smoke at all .feels like fall, could be rain tonight again.
