Cranbrook Fields (shit fields/spray irrigation site)

Just a heads up that the City of Cranbrook "shit fields" will be shut down for all access incase anyone was thinking of heading there. Most large private lands with public access are likely to do the same.

All unpaved roads are closed here. ALL of them and good thing too.

It can be a gong show a best of times, throw a GOS cow season into the mix and body armour isn't a bad idea.

Used to reg 3 hunting for one. Shit fields are big lots of walking early in the morning, which is no problem. Lots of hunters at the time and a CO behind every tree it seemed. Now were all legal so that was fine. Elk seen leaving and coming to the fields very early and late. Couldn't connect with one on our one try with this kinda of hunt. Fun trip although very different to anything I had ever done.

I'm headed out by the sh*t fields Sunday to hunt a friends private property. Hopefully the kid can connect on one of the elk in his fields.
