hello everyone.

i am seeking your opinion. my crew and i are looking forward to our first time hunting in Fort St. John neighborhood this year.
the Google maps gives me two routes to choose from.

one through central BC interior. taking 17 hours (so it says) and the other is through BC's Banff and Jasper into N. Alberta and back into BC and its to take 17 hours.

i am not overly concerned with time. we will be driving large pick-ups with medium to small trailers behind us.

i want to know what the easier drive is.

Thanks for taking your time to read and share your knowledge.

Colin.

WE usually just go straight up the interior, through Prince George. usually takes 12-13 hours from Langley, not sure where you are coming from but 17hrs seems long to FSJ.

Been both ways...through Prince George is by far the fastest. Check google, there is a paved shortcut before Dawson, save's about 30 min.

Chetwynd - Hudson Hope is my preferred route.

From a previous post:

If you are driving from Chetwynd towards Dawson, cut off the 97 at the Braden Road (259 Road). Head north on the Braden and it spits you out north of Dawson, north of the Kiskatinaw River bridge, on the way to Fort St. John. Saves at least 30 to 45 min of travel time. The Braden is paved and takes you through the Sunset Prairie area.

We use this 'cut-off' also.
Good route .....
