People are posting trail camera pictures from the fire on the "Loon Lake B. C." Facebook page since they were just allowed back in.

Good news --- The deer and bears are already back in the burn areas feeding on the new growth that has already started sprouting.

Sad for the people that lost their homes, but some of those areas were so thick that you could not see 10 feet back into the bush so it should help the land regenerate.

Only losers in a burn are the folks who lose homes/possessions or lively hood; timber.
Everything else, especially herbivores are ecstatic.

I seriously doubt there is much new growth in the burnt areas...lets see some pics

That comment was from one of the homeowners who lost their place and just visited it.

Looks like NASA had been monitoring it. Here's a link to a false color map of the fire devastation.

Most of my hunting areas were spared, but not all.
