Hi fellow hunters. I am heading to my cabin on Ruth lake in Early October. I don't want anybody's honeyhole but just any information as to what I should expect in the way of deer around that location. My hunting partner and I will be putting our boots to the ground. Curious to know how the hunting has been in the past few years around 100 mile.
Thank you.

I don't know why, but I find they all move out of that area, not everyone, but it drys up by the oct, that's what I find anyway, Cheers Good luck

Poper might be onto something.

I saw saw way more deer in September than October up that way. I just was hunting lower elevations late October and seeing deer.

Seems most of the deer are in the field or in subdivisions. I'd see more in the 5 mins driving from my house then all morning. They must be really migratory in there.

Sounds like it may be a tough time tracking them down. Oh well that's why they call it hunting!
