Sheep Meat

I consider sheep meat to taste the best. When on a ten day hunt what can be done other than eat a bunch to save it? I thought of smoking some over an alder fire. What have you done?

Last year we double wrapped ours in heavy duty plastic bags after the meat cooled and threw it in the river weighted down. Still enjoying a roast now and again, and the meat tastes fine.

Pack it in bags in snow or under water.
