I got a gbl I like to put a fiber optic sight on it.
What do you think of thus fiber optic sights , Compare to other sights on the market .

Sorry ... what is a gbl? What is the scenario you are using the firearm under? hunting? target? primarily indoors or outdoors? A little more info will likely get you better answers.

Marling guide gun with a big loop... I have one and run bone stock sights on it currently.. If I was to put anything on it it would just be a simple ghost ring sight as I use this mainly for bear protection and a camp gun.

Pretty sure he's talking about a 45-70 GBL meaning guide gun (short barrel) with the big loop lever. Sweet gun. I prefer to use the iron sights myself. Maybe someone else can weigh in

Just put a dab of flashy red nail polish on the front post! I did this on my 450 Marlin, and my 444 Marlin, works like a hot dam!! Moosin

Put ghost rings on mine, sees more daylight than any other rifle I have.

I've got a fixed 4X scope on mine. Works pretty good. I must say that particular rifle feels great to carry. Very compact.

Dude. Something about a scope on a lever gun is just wrong. Maybe i'm tainted by decades of watching westerns, but a scope on a lever gun just ain't right.

see the problem with my gun is that at 50-60 yrds it's shooting 2 feet low and to the right , the front and back sights seem to look lined up . So is it me shooting it some how wrong ? I used 405 and 250 mono flex and both shoot similar . so with the iron sight from the manufacture there doesn't seem any room to ajust the sight except the rear sight for up and down .

2 feet low and right at 50m.... there is something wrong with the rifle. You should never have to use a correction factor of that magnitude.

Should be able to tap the front sight to the left ...and if your rear sight doesn't have any more room for adjustment , adjust how you like it up with your eyes

Williams fire sights. I also have put my vx2-7 on my levers. Don't listen to albravo2. The wild west is dead.

Fiber optics are great in low light compared to buckhorn sights. More fragile though

My preference would be towards a ghost ring style sight from Skinner, I really like their winged set with the dog ears for protection

Or if you want the option to mount an optic (red dot or scout scope, or traditional scope), an XS rail with integrated ghost ring

i sure like the fiberoptic sights , i'm leaning to wards that i think that would be great in the bush and while is getting dark . i just don't what to mount a scope on a lever , it would be more practical .

That's what I had mounted on my Tikka T3 Lite Stainless. You have a variety of rear peep diameters or you can remove it for a ghost ring. The fibre optic front sight is not as durable as a iron front sight.

my point is if you need to shift your windage or elevation to the max one way or the other something is wrong with the rifle or the installation of the sights.

Sliding the post side to side maybe 2mm is one thing and one the extreme end of it but I'm picturing this rifles post hanging half way out of the dovetail to get on target. None of my iron sighted rifles display an visually obvious correction has been made, nor do any of my scopes rifles have more than a a couple Moa of adjustment from the centre of travel left/right.

2 feet at 50 m is only around 45moa. Most scopes couldn't even adjust enough to even get that on paper, neither would any of my click type adjustable irons... so I believe the problem is a little deeper than simply adjusting the sights.
