Happy Canada Day!!!
You can't get much more Canadian than planning a moose hunting trip. ;-)
We were successful on our shared LEH moose hunt for Oct. 1-15! We had the last two weeks of October 5 years ago. We're hoping that these earlier two weeks will be more successful. Last time when scouting the few weeks earlier we saw bulls but when back with tags in hand only cows/calves were moving.
We took a hunting trailer with us as our base the last time around but it has since been sold. Does anyone have any suggestions on hunter-friendly accommodations (cabins for rent) in this region?
Cheers!

Try Loon Bay Resort on Sheridan Lake. They have 6 nice cabins but may be all rented out for them ! RJ

I'm not sure how many of you there are but another option would be to rent a small trailer. That way you can wake up in your hunting territory and save the money you would be burning on fuel. There's a guy in kamloops who does it and we rented one off of him before I bought mine. Think it was called littleRVrentals. Also, Oct 1-14 is a much better draw to have in 5-01. It was hammered pretty hard last year but if you put in your work and spend a good portion of the draw up there you should be able to connect. You definitely want to be up there for opening day, even a day or two prior if you can swing it

Let me know if you are stuck I have a place on Deka, not fancy but a place to crash. 5-01 in early October should be pretty much a slam dunk, seen some dandies up there in last couple years during any buck opener.
