Been hunting hard this year passing up allot of bears 40 or so for sure felt they wear to small or simply was to tired to deal with it. well after lots of hard work it paid off
June 7
heading out early figured it was a write off with the heat i decided to go into a place i didn't expect to see anything wear i did but before i could get to my area i come around the corner boom big legal bear no clue i drove up behind him i get out start looking at him throw scope since i was pretty much set on harvesting this one so 3 mins go by i finally get a good lung shot boom 225 grain 338 barnes bullet perfect shot this thing starts like chasing its tail not wanting to track it i took another shot perfect drops him in the middle of this path/road i was able to back up to him and skin and bone it and take home meat and hide. i lost 2 shoulders tho never seen any other bullet do so much damage. best part of all this was the gun is new to me and putting in range time getting confident shooting i was able to make a good responsible kill shot. kinda depend on this too when you hunt alone. hopefully will get another bear so i can get it all into the butchers.
