hi guys,
has anyone been down the 8400 road from likely recently? i'm wondering about snow pack, and if a 4WD toyota could get through past maeford lake from the west and reach the junction of the 3400 road to barkerville. Alternatively, if someone has made the reverse trip and driven south from wells/barkerville and made it as far the junction of the old Z road.

thanks in advance,
Brian.

not sure the road i was up there 5 days ago i think tried the cumming ham 3100 rd lots of snow still really muddy 20 km had a avalanche of snow making it not passable i suspect maybe a week or so it will be melted. i ended up on the 2900 rd not bad but not really green. up near wells. was still cold up there. not sure which is the 8400. believe srupp posted some info believe they got just before maeford lake coming in from the other end. you could get throw the snow but being alone in a f350 with no one to pull me out i didn't wanna chance it haha.

Cheers man, thanks for the info. I am headed into that area this coming Sunday. I've got a nice tacoma off road with locker and new duratracs with chains. But I hear you, getting stuck solo would be unfortunate.

You won't get by the slide just north of Mae ford lake.

Thanks guys! Steven, it's pointless to even try to get past that slide? Any chance it will melt down enough in 5 days?

No chance at all.
Come south from Wells.
