Jet boat hull design

Looking to buy an entry level jet boat. Price is important. I have found a decent flat bottom boat but m curious how flat bottom hulls handle compared to sportier V hulls. Any insight would be appreciated.

Depends on the intended purpose.
1. Shallow water running up to a 10 degree hull (great in the skinny water, rough riding in choppy water like lakes)
2. 12 degree hull is very universal as it will run the skinny and handle the chop too.
3. Above 12 degree will run choppy water smoother, but will suffer in skinny water.
4. Hull build strength is another issue again, depending on what you plan on using the boat for.
