Anyone have experience with this scope or any scope from "Hawke"? It is a co-development of Anschütz & Hawke, an optics company based in the UK I've never heard of. Specifically designed for small caliber/rimfire. I have a new Anschütz 1416 22 LR sporter coming in the mail from a vendor in Nova Scotia & they also offer the subject scope. Any info/experience with Hawke scopes would be appreciated.

As you know Anschuetz does not make Riflescopes but on whatever they put there name onto it you can be sure it is good German made quality.

Having said that, it also need to be said, unfortunately there is a lot of overpriced poorly designed and/or German made stuff out there kow what you are buying.

Cheers

Not with that particular scope, but my crossbow has a great Hawke scope on it that I very much like.
There is a reason it is there...

Glass is fine into fading light, the adjustments are true, and it will take a mean beating and keep on tickin'...

I'd tend to agree with the previous poster about anything Anschuetz puts their label on.
And being careful too...

Cheers,
Nog

Thx for the input gents, I thought this thread had died a natural death & disappeared into the forum black hole! I have the new firearm in my hot little hands now & am eagerly anticipating the first day at the range with it. Turns out the vendor I purchased it from is having an Easter sale, but unfortunately the scope in question is not in stock. Antsy to shoot the gun & not willing to wait, I opted for a Leupold VX-1 instead, it's in the mail.

With regard to the rifle, it's the Beavertail model with a wide fore stock. There's no provision for iron sights & it doesn't come with swivels for a sling either. Should have done a bit more research, the 'classic' comes with swivels, but adding them to this model shouldn't be difficult if I decide to take it hunting. I do like the feel of the wide forestock, lots to grab on to.

Wide fore stock. Will be a challenge to see if I can group my shots as well at 50 meters as the sample from the factory!
