My youngest son just turned 10 years old on March 24 and is now extremely impatient about getting out hunting for his first black bear and coyotes.

How do I get him a hunting license do I have to go online or can we just go to a store or what?

Also can I get him a firearms license or is he still to young?

Just take him to FrontCounter or your local place, fill out the acknowledgement of responsibility form, and get him a youth licence. Takes about 8 minutes. I don't think you can do the Acknowledgement online.

I avoid FrontCounter now...tried to sign my kid up through them last year and it was a gong show....Go to service BC and be done with it. The Acknowledgement is now available to be printed from the website.

If he is 10 get him to take the CORE. My daughter turned 10 on the 14th and took the course last weekend. She will have her own FWID for LEH this year and will have her own tags.

He can do his firearms too, but actually can't get it until 18.....
