Killer fronts on that bugger. Will be interesting to see his backs once he sheds that velvet.

You planning on gettin on him in GOS?

Yea, I wouldn't waste your time there. Last season there was only a 271 NT and a 230 NT killed in there.

Like I said, waste of time. Everyone and their dog is going to be looking for the offspring of that 271 buck. I know I am.8)

Wicked tough terrain around Adams. It's a road hunters nightmare for spotting game. The bush is thick and the slopes steep.

East Fraser is KING.

Thats it, everyone to Adam's lake this year, we're all staying in Dana's new tent, bring bandages and fire extinguishers:-D

Anything else you need me to bring Dana? Maybe some outriggers for that canoe of yours, and I'll bring my ATV if you like:wink:

I don't think 270 bucks are killed very often, but in the good ol days, you couldn't eat the rack, and the bigger the buck the more meat. A lot of racks were cut off and left right at the killsite. Sometimes they were packed home and then some kid would cut them up to make buttons. :) True story. There is a pic of a buck from CO shot years ago that many believe would top the Worlds Record NT and it was cut up for buttons.

I remember my Grandfather telling me that when he first came to BC from Manitoba in the 1930's at age 17, he went to live with his Grandparents on the Arrow Lakes. The third day he was there he went exploring behind their house and shot a monster NT, 15 points on one side, 17 on the other. He brought the buck into town on his horse and some old timer asked if he could have the rack. My Grandpa told me that was the first deer he had ever seen in BC and being young and stupid he thought there were lots like that, so he gave the rack away. He regretted it in the years to come though and last he heard the old timers barn had burnt down, with his rack likely inside. I still have most of his mule deer racks and even some photos from deer he took in the 40's and 50's and there are some beauties, but he said none of them compared to that one set he gave away.
