So Ive been looking for a pair of of 10x42s and this morning I decide to look again and Wholesale has them for $1015.00!!! Out of stock online, but Langley and Nanaimo had stock. So I went about some chores then decided this was the best price I was going to find new. (Previous best price was $1300 cash on the mainland, new).

I call Nanaimo, they tell me its only the 8x42s they have on sale. So I get back on the computer and POOF, the 10x42s are not even listed!! So I told him that I swear It was the 10x and he goes to look but none there. Then I tried Langley, same story.

Now I'm ticked and call Winnipeg, the salesman tells me yes he sold a pair in the morning of 10x for $1015.00 and he has a pair there but they won't ship, you physically have to pick them up! Im not going to winnipeg and I don't know anyone there. But he confirmed $1015.00!!

So whats the deal, did Wholesale make a mistake and have them listed wrong?? Or why did the 10x42s disappear from online (the 8x42s are still listed but as no online stock)??

Cabelas won't match Wholesale but even so my proof is gone that they had the 10x42s listed for $1015.00

Annoyed and confused

The last pair available for online sale may have been sold in the time between your online searches.

Never any available online, only in store. Other binos are still listed on their site and out of stock online. The 10xs are not even listed anymore

Somebody else will have to chime in but that grocery store in Quesnel that sells high end optics has crazy good prices. Not franks supermarket but the one across the street from it [quesnel is the only town I know that sells hunting stuff in grocery stores] Might be called Omars? Bought my 10x42 conquest from him a few years back for about $800. He is worth trying. He ships too.

Aroma Foods is the store. Omer is the owner.

I bought my Leica scope off him a couple years ago. Good price and good guy.

So I got my pair for 1015$. I called a relative in Ontario close to the Bass Pro and and they matched Wholesales Price for him. He got a pair also.

Welcome to the world of Wholesale sports, this sounds very similar to the experience I had attempting to purchase a Mossberg 510 mini 20 Guage for my niece a few years back. Same rigamoral, I even went so far as to pay for the gun online and when retrieving in store (Langley) they had no record of my purchase. Supplied them with my info, turned out Wholesale had got 3 of them and advertised around the country like they had hundreds, then put them on backorder as soon as they sold the first three. Long story short was refunded and bought the Mossy Mini 20g at that little gun shop in Agassiz right off the shelf with a $30 savings off Wholesale's original sale price. Good luck getting your glass as advertised.
