I am interested to hear which factory loads people get the tightest groups with in the 300WM caliber. If anyone has a Browning A-bolt II SS in particular, I would really like to hear about your experiences.

I have tried more than a few from the Federal and Remmington lines - all in 180 grain. It is getting to be an expensive exercise and I am not sure how much of the variations can be attributed to different loads and how much is other factors (e.g. hot barrel, cold barrel, shooter fatigue, strong winds, etc.).

I can get 1/2 inch groups with Remington Core Lokt Ultra Bonded factory ammo, in 180gr. The Express Core Lokts will also group similarly for me. It's what my gun likes. 300 WM Husqvarna.

I've also used the Express in my 7mm Rem Mag Sako and get comparable performance.

I generally let the barrel cool between 3 shot groups. After several shots, it's best to let the shoulder cool down a bit too, and try again tomorrow.

Couldn't tell ya, but I know that 74 grs of IMR 4350 with a 165 Nosler punched an honest 1\2 5 shot group. It would have been better if the barrel wasn't so hot. You could have cooked an egg on that thing when the group was done.
