A national park in this area will be the end of all hunting and fishing in a huge area.

Please vote accordingly. Thanks.

Done.

We've got more than enough fenced and gated public land with too many rules (national parks). While I believe in preserving areas with different types of ecosystems I don't believe national park model is the way to go in this day and age.

original poll years ago asked if peps were in favour of protecting lands, lots of yes votes. Pollers took the ya's as being in favour of NP, spindoctoring at its finest

I am not for the park do to the loss of hunting opurtunity. I do see the advantage of protecting the area but not in this fashion

FD when you say an end to fishing do you mean under a BC fishing license because most national parks do allow fishing but it requires a national parks fishing license.

Keep this up, post on other groups and forums and don't let our foot off the pedal. Engage fellow outdoorsmen and women in other provinces, states etc.

Every poll on this topic is important, no matter how small it may seem. We need to show that the support for a National Park is not there.

While I voted no because I don't think that a national park down there is instrumental to the stated goals, I'd like to point out that it's unlikely that the "powers that be" will put much credence in the results of an online poll for a local newspaper that was distributed out widely to groups that have a vested interest in a "no" vote (and has likely been distributed the other way, as well).

Just don't put too much stock in what will happen based on the results.

I am curious, is the land designated to become a park municipal land or provincial(crown)land? If it's crown land this is not a biased result as we are all members of the province and that is our land as much as any "locals".

I'm sure you have rallied your anti-hunting friends to hit the poll after you saw my thread, so I'll consider the results balanced.

What's biased about hunters not wanting a National Park where no hunting/fishing would occur?

Of course the other side would never attempt to skew the results...

Have you ever actually gone hunting, or in the bush for that matter, or are you just a complete troll? You seem like an intelligent person, so if you are just trolling, how much of a difference do you really think your making, don't you have better ways to apply your skills and knowledge?
