Nice job Man! I saw wolf tracks in an area I hunt this fall for the first time in Dec. A little scary thinking they may be getting established there. Hope I see one. Thanks for posting.

im terrible at telling storie so il just give the facts
there were at least 7 of them...i howled them in
the shot was about 75 yards with a ruger 77 30-06 180gr partitons
im probably not going to do much with him except stretch him in the barn
as you might imagine my son has somewhat different stories to tell at preschool

If you are in the Kamloops, you must not get out into the woods too often. Wolves have been ion the Tranquille Lake and Watching Creek area since 2007.

In light of the current booming wolf population in BC, I'm convinced they are most photogenic in stacks though. ;)

Nice work Corb89 - got time to tell us the story? I think alot of hunters (myself included) are toying with the idea of dedicating time to wolf hunting and any recent info is always helpful.

the only advice i can give....is to just get out there, im fortunate that my job and lifestyle offers so many opportunities like this...where as others have to consider the fuel expense and wear & tear on the vehicles...
lastly my thoughts on equipment.....ive been with guys who were shooting large magnums with fancy scopes..and were sure enough good shots...but could not get set up intime to shoot...this wolf was shot at roughly 350yards with a 30-06 and a 4x zeiss scope..i like to keep things simple
please don't take my advice as expert advice..i simply have been lucky
