First Elk Hunt Ever Cranbrook

Hey guys quick question. So a buddy of mine and his family have two cranbrook bull draws and we are wondering if anyone here has hunted the area and would care to share any info tips, tricks etc. Anything you know I'd love to hear. I Will be using my 338 win mag 250 grain area. Thanks for looking. SS

Elk season is closed in the east kootenays and there is no draws for bull elk anyways.
