Hey fellas, does anyone know of a good place to take an older 12' zodiac inflatable to get some holes and cracks patched up in the southern interior?

Buddy and i took his Zodie down several rivers (the similkameen from above bromley rock to the us border and the lillooet from the bottom of the lake to harrison lake were awesome) and slowly over time it got enough small rips in the floor that he didnt trust it with an engine on it to not to peel the floor off...

the last time we used it for a river run we were doing a day trip down the squamish river and near to the beginning we hit a submerged branch that peeled the front nose section off the floor back about 8 - 10 inches on each side....effectively turning it into a big inner tube with a tonne of water being dragged along...

Fearing a large rip could happen, buddy had good quality duct tape along .....so we dragged it up on a sand bar let it dry in the sun....scraped it well with some clean sharp rocks, then did a fantastic Red Green job of duct taping it thoroughly with 3 or 4 layers IIRC..we used a stick to rub each piece after applying...it got us home...

he told me he even tried the duct tape repair out with the 9.9 on the back and it held up...heheheh...

haha that's a very good story! This old girl has been flown into many northern camps years ago. It has been known to pack four people and large moose across large lakes barely above the water but kept on doing it's thing. Hopefully it doesn't have to be thrown out.
