well as some of you may remember I had gotten a Bushnell Trail Cam last September 2006 and had it out in the my hunting spot from September till end of November. Then I discovered it quit working, so I had to send it in to Bushnell for warranty. Turns out they replaced the whole thing and sent me a new one, which I got sometime in March I think. I havent had it out yet, because I was planning on getting some rechargable batteries (D Cell), which I finally got today from Ebay.
I'm gonna set it out this weekend and will probably check it every couple weeks, if I get any decent pics I will post them up.

well on Sunday I went out in the evening and set up my trail cam over a couple trails that bottleneck into a watering hole. I will check it in a couple weeks to see if there is any activity. I saw some moose and deer tracks in the mud by the water but didnt look too long, god damn mosquitos almost packed me off

Just wondering out loud if it would be possible to put a fish-eye lens on one of those, or get a wider angle?

finally got to check my camera tonight, batteries died July 30 :( and only had 7 pics, and only 2 of those pics had animals in it. A moose's ass and this coyote

I moved my camera a half kilometer from this spot, there doesnt seem to be alot of activity at the water hole where I had it placed, probably due to all the rain we've been getting this summer. Now its on a trail heading to a food source

I absolutely love looking at these photos - the animals all look so peaceful and curious - no cares in the world... Just hangin' out... being themselves.

question. how do you secure these cameras to trees? is them getting stolen not a big problem?
todbartell
10-28-2007, 10:30 PM
right now my camera is just leaning against a tree about 2 feet off the ground (using a log as a support) ...I destroyed the supplied mount a few weeks ago in frustration as I attempted to remove it from a tree
my camera is on private land and the odds someone finds it and steals it, is quite low

All sasquatch photos aside, those game cameras seem very cool. For those people who own one - do you feel it has improved your hunting?
Here is some strange ones from my camera but not the elusive sasquatch yet...
