Hey guys and gals, finally taking some time to post my 2016 Muley, I took this buck Nov.27th last day I had to get out in pursuit of a buck and with my luck it seems as if I like to shoot, or I get the opportunity to harvest game on a Sunday evening and have a long night before the work week, but it never fails~! I headed out to my go too spot for Nov. on a last minute decision too see if the curse is real harvesting everything Sunday night! ha ha CURSED! (MORE LIKE BLESSED) I only had maybe a full hour of light left when I got into location, not much time to spare, I decided I'm better off to grab my gun and binos and jog my way into a clearing I'm 3 for 3 harvesting bucks in late November, I literally left my pack at the truck with everything, I mean everything!! water, headlamp, havalon ETC.. about 50 yards from where I usually enter the clearing and sit, I took a 2 min break to catch my breath encase I walk into the clearing and the bucks are out, yup bucks were out!! soon as I broke the brush I looked up and spotted a decent 4pt bedded down, I put glass on him judged his distance, 70 yards roughly and being sorta stubborn I thought I better take a good look around to see if there is anything bigger, quickly spotting 3 other deer, 1 doe, and 2 bucks, one being a smaller 4pt I had turned down the begging of Nov. and a big 3pt that wasnt legal, I decided I'm going to take the bigger 4, he stayed bedded the entire time, being at the distance I was, I was confident on taking a shot with not much presenting it self. it all happened so quick and it was done like that! had a good laugh to myself, hiked up to the buck still in his bed the realized....SHOOT, all my gear is at the truck!, I took 2 quick pics and the phone died, and it was dark, jogged back out to the truck grabbed my pack and made a few calls letting the ol lady know ill be a few! being the nice -20 and worse it was a chilly procedure!! needless to say, a last minute decision was the right one!!!http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah160/bigbuck8692/2016%20muley.._zpse06h2uyc.jpgas he lays!!http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah160/bigbuck8692/2016%20muley._zpsygld8y1h.jpghttp://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah160/bigbuck8692/2016%20muley_zpszcqgehpw.jpg I decided to do a euro mount on him like I did with my bull moose!
