ingredients : weed wacker line , matches , plyers , ballpoint pen , knife , ziplock bag. This is a handy item to have in your pack , take a piece of weed wacker line (thicker the better) , melt the end and flatten with a pair of plyers , cut slot with knife , widen with ball point pen , slip into a ziplock bag with some bore patches .Cheap , works well , also makes nice gifts for your hunting buddies at xmas time :).

Do you have a picture of your homemade contraption that you could post?

That weedwhacker line is handy stuff. I've used it to re-attach my gas cap to the truck when the original quit. Also, the trailer electrical connector cap at the back of the truck, the rubber rotted. You can slip it thru holes, then melt the end and flare it - it won't come apart, rot, or wear out. My 2 cents.

My home made pull through is a fishing wieght, 3 ft of 3/32" cord, and a denim patch. Soaked with gunoil. it fits in a film cannister.

makes nice gifts for your hunting buddies at xmas time :).

Sounds like a cool do it yourself deal, even to just give to buddies, but I wouldn't be wrapping em up for Christmas gifts.
