Maybe that's why i didn't get picked this year for LEH ,didn't drink enough whisky and combining it with the black ink pen trick :mrgreen:.

Anywhere there is a season or LEH. You don't have to pick a region anymore.

Hmmm...so will I do Kamloops Lake? Phillips Creek? Salmo? Assiniboine? Grandby? I'll let you know which one once I have the draw in my hand. :wink:

Not sure, but if you can dream up something bizarre I bet it has been done in the U.S.
Though I did hear of a BC outfitter putting a Wheel chair-bound hunter onto a ram. It took quite awhile for one to come to the lick, but he got it.

No premiers draw this year - Stones #1 priority, if no go on that then Callis. Have got a goat tag as well. I know I should put in, and cancel other shat if I got it, but dont have the time.

I think I ran the numbers, and if you spent like, $14,000 on special tags, you'd get yourself nearly a 95% chance at getting it. Wouldnt that suck if you didnt though!

The winner a few years ago spent mucho dollaroes on apps, and was drawn. However, IIRC, Mr Thornton told me that the fellow still only had like a 1 in 20 chance of being drawn. The result was a monster ram though. 8)

Yes, statistically, your odds dont increase as much as one would think. If you spent a million bucks on apps, you still dont hit 100%. Only way to be guaranteed, of course, would be to have no other applicants.

I do think your odds get much better than 1 in 20 though.

Just remember...if you draw the Premiers Permit you are allowed to take another ram during a regular or LEH season (if you drew one of those too).


I think it took that guy two years of spending the big bucks on permits until he won. Can't recall the total he spent over the two years. I think he had better odds than 1:20...maybe 1 in 3:confused:.
Bad luck if someone else does the same thing as you.

special draws for Elk and Sheep.The Card You Buy Looks Like An Normal LEH card.but the one i seen was blue.and they have the head of the animal your applying for.it's for the island elk and im not sure where the sheep is for.maybe the island to.correct me if im wrong

Sheep have been used before for vegetation control, so if someone bet there were sheep on Mt Washington, I wouldn't take it .
